Publishing Submit Your Book Proposal Common Ground Publishing is setting new standards of rigorous academic knowledge creation and scholarly publication. Unlike other publishers, we’re not interested in the size of potential markets or competition from other books. We’re only interested in the intellectual quality of the work. If a book is a brilliant contribution to a specialist area of knowledge that only serves a small intellectual community, we still want to publish it. If it is expansive and has a broad appeal, we want to publish it too, but only if it is of the highest intellectual quality. For more information on submitting a book proposal, please visit our website. New Journal Issue Released We are pleased to announce the publication of The International Journal of Religion and Spirituality in Society, Volume 3, Issue 4. Copies of this issue are available in our online bookstore. Conference Graduate Scholar Applications Now Being Accepted for the 2015 Religion in Society Conference For each conference, a small number of Graduate Scholar Awards are given to outstanding graduate students who have an active academic interest in the conference area. Graduate Scholars perform a critical role in the conference by chairing the parallel sessions, providing technical assistance in the sessions, participating in Talking Circles, and presenting their own research papers. The Award with its accompanying responsibilities provides a strong professional development opportunity for graduate students at this stage in their academic careers. Meeting experts in the field, interacting with colleagues from other parts of the world, and creating networks and friendships are all additional benefits of this Award. Graduate Scholars are entitled to a waived conference registration fee and are given special recognition during the conference proceedings. Recipients must be available on-site the day prior to the conference (for orientation and training) and throughout the conference. The application deadline to apply for the 2014 Graduate Scholar Award is 16 December 2014. To apply, please click here to download the application form and follow the instructions for submission.
